Intuition: Bringing Your Vision to Life
This blog post is a reminder for you to reconnect with an extraordinary power that lies within you to make your wildest dreams come true, to live a purposeful life and fulfill your desires. That superpower is…. intuition! ✨
It all starts with intuition, a feeling that wants our attention. And it’s as that feeling can be “seen” in your mind’s eye when followed by a vision or a thought. When you have a vision or thought that may at first seem ridiculous or way beyond your comfort zone you may want to investigate it before you cancel the thought by thinking “that will never happen” or I can’t do that- investigate it with curiosity and then add some fantasy. What would it look like if it could happen and what would it feel like?
I want to remind you that the idea you have doesn’t just pop into everyone’s mind, it’s in your mind for a reason. You may have a desire, curiosity or intention that created this thought. I am going to share a personal story with you and encourage you to follow your intuition and make your vision come true.

I was on a coaching call with a client from Texas. He had visited California and said he saw someone swim in the Pacific ocean 🌊 and got excited to do the same. I think a whole lot of people love spending time in California on the beach and may dip in the ocean in summer time to cool off their overheated bodies, but not a whole lot of people get excited about swimming in the cold and dark Pacific ocean. When I hear him say that I asked him if he would ever consider doing a triathlon as the first part of a triathlon will be swimming 🏊🏻♂️. He had never thought about it but after explaining what would be expected of him and that it could be a great next goal to work toward he agreed and signed up for the Malibu Triathlon.
He had four months to train and I was coaching him weekly, providing training schedules, cleaning up his diet and getting him informed about all things triathlon. I’m a certified level 1 Triathlon coach and enjoy getting people excited about doing at least one triathlon in their life because I think it’s very empowering and it is an unforgettable experience. This man in his early forties recovered earlier this year from a knee surgery and has degenerative disc issues- he was cleared by his doctor and we eased into short training session.
As I was coaching him I was thinking it would be so great to be there with him experiencing his first race. I called a friend and asked if he could connect me with Super League Triathlon team, the new owners of the Malibu Triathlon. I scheduled a call and asked if they needed help promoting the event; I offered to put together an influencer team that I would coach and get ready for the race and get them to post 📱 about their journey and encourage their followers to join as well. I had done this before for the LA Herbal Life Triathlon and it was a great experience. But the Malibu triathlon said they didn’t need that this year. I continued asking some other questions as I was hoping to find a way in which I can be helpful and get paid to come out. When I heard that they needed some help with getting brands to get booths in the exhibit area ( the area right after the finish line) I thought of some brands that would be a great match.
My Vison
I asked myself what did I want to enjoy after the race? As you’re often hot and the body feels tight/sore after racing it would be great to have an ice 🧊 bath lined up at he finish line. (watch me jump in!) I also thought of eating delicious superfood pancakes 🥞 for breakfast and to quench my thirst a healthy refreshing beverage. I started reaching out to the brands that I had in mind and they were very receptive to these idea. 5000 participant plus a few thousand spectators and supporters would be at the event: a great opportunity for a brand activation with a well-off demographic.
I got brands signed up, made commission on the deals AND I was offered a free entry for the race. I was joining my client for his race!🎉 A vison that came to fruition very quickly.
Unexpected Turn of Events
Fast forward to the race: my client felt really great; his body was strong and his knee and back weren’t acting up. He was stoked to feel that his hard work paid off and that his body responded so well to the training. BUT a work crisis two days before the race made him cancel his trip 😫. It was a bummer and we both were disappointed. I still got to celebrate with the brands, my friends and participate in the race myself. I even podiumed and came in second 🥈 place! (Watch the recap reel)
In retrospect I would have not reached out to Super League if my client had not shared about his excitement to swimming in the Pacific ocean and agreed to sign up for his first triathlon. Sometimes one reason may get us to take inspired action but there may be so much more orchestrated behind the scenes- experiences that are meant for YOU!
I hope this episode has shed light on the power of intuition and vision in shaping our lives. Your intuition, those subtle feelings and inklings, is a compass guiding you towards opportunities and experiences uniquely meant for you. And when coupled with bold vision and a willingness to explore the seemingly impossible, incredible things can happen.
I encourage you to embrace your intuition, nurture your visions, and follow your heart's desires. Who knows what remarkable journeys and achievements await you when you do?
