Don’t you love those days when you feel everything flows? You get lots done, things come easy and everything just seems to connect effortlessly. Do you want lots of these days in your week? Here’s what I’ve learned to create more flow in my life.
I’ve discovered that my attitude makes all the diference when it comes to being in flow. Most days out of the year turn out different than I plan or expect them to be and if I try to control something that’s out of my control I lose flow.
For example, when an appointment is cancelled last minute or something else comes up that really messes up my schedule I feel my body tense up and can get annoyed and stressed. This can influence my whole day and I feel nothing is going right. “when you can’t change your circumstances you can change your attitude“.
So when things don’t go the way I had planned or wished for and I feel a negative emotion come up I interrupt it by saying “ thank you”.I say this because I believe that everything happens for a reason, and even though I can’t see why it’s happening in that moment I trust that it’s for my best interest. So by saying “thank you’, I’m accepting the new reality and go on with my day. By doing this several times a day I don’t dwell on those things, I can quickly let go and focus on something else; and I’m back in the flow..
But what if you are totally out of your flow and this all sounds nice but you can’t get yourself to say thank you for the mess you’re currently in. You might feel stressed, angry and even a bit depressed?
Start pampering yourself; get a massage, eat healthy food, exercise and get some extra sleep. This all will help you to relax and think clearly again. “The best time to schedule time to relax? When you don’t have time!”
