Models DO eat interviews Paul Sculfor, British male supermodel!
This handsome man knows how to cook, has a good sense of humor and likes to get his hands dirty. He’s been stripping out an apartment he recently bought in London which he is turning into a James Bond style bachelor pad! Leather floors, wallpaper made of silk, an eclectic mix of Danish fifty’s style furniture; he’s got style!
Find out what Paul likes to cook, what his morning ritual is like and what food he thinks is sexy!
What’s your relationship with food?
It’s a love and “hate” relationship. I believe that pretentiously there’s a 400-pound man in me, because of my love for food. 😉
Do you consider yourself a health nut?
Yes, without the “health” LOL
How do you stay in shape?
Since birth the hardest thing for me to do is to be still. So sports of any kind are very natural to me.
What’s your favorite thing to cook?
I’m leaning far over towards being a veggie but I still love to cook fish. I’ll steam a Dover sole in a little sea salt, black cracked pepper and a drip of truffle oil, lemon and dill. And as a side dish I make a lightly steamed samfer (a.k.a sea asparagus) when in season.
Do you prefer eating out or a home cooked meal?
I like them the same but for different reasons. If I’m with close friends I prefer to eat at home. It’s teamwork community; we eat, talk, laugh and clean up together and hang out afterwards without breaking the atmosphere. And I find it a privilege to be able to go to different restaurants and be served incredible food. I appreciate this very much.
What food do you have a weakness for?
Cheese and chocolate.. May I add: “not at the same time”
Do you count calories?
Well, I keep an eye on what I eat, I have to for my job but I’m not crazed by it. I tend to listen and feel my body more than count numbers.
What are you passionate about?
Truth and joy
What’s on your mind when you first wake up?
What’s your morning ritual?
The minute I wake up I drink a pint or two of water and I’ll put the coffee on. Then I’ll read a page from a daily meditation book and sit for 10-15 minutes quietly with self and see how I can apply what I’ve read to the day ahead. It gives life a little more flavor. Then I’ll hit the coffee, make breakfast, shower, and get dressed. I sort through email and if I’m training; I’ll go out for a run or do tai chi before any of the above.
Who would you want to be for a day and why?
God, so I could have a little fiddle with people’s minds and take out the crazy parts. And I’d like to be in the body of an F1 racing driver, I love speed.
Describe your dream woman in three words:
Intelligent, soulful and beautiful
What’s the sexiest food in your opinion?
Mini portions presented impeccably are really sexy.
Do you have a favorite mantra?
Absolutely but I practice it and never say it.
