Chisel Club is a fitness and wellness community I’m building. My goal is to create a community, a safe place, for people to get inspired and inspire each other to make healthy decisions and important changes in their lives.
I recently read a trainers blog who said, “better choices, better body”, and I would expand on that; “better choices, better life”. Our health is the foundation of everything. We all need support and motivation as we pave our own healthy journeys and that is what Chisel Club aims to provide.
1)What brands do you model for?
I work with Nike quite a bit and recently I got the chance to work with Jordan for their first ever women’s tight! I love working with Women’s health, Target, Kohl’s, Shape, Self & Fitness Magazine.
2) What do you do for fun?
I love to dance both in class and on the dance floor. And I love to travel! That is definitely one of my biggest hobbies and passions.
3) What moment did you feel most proud of yourself?
It’s hard to pick one moment I am most proud of, but there are a few recent moments that stand out. I was really proud after completing my first half marathon a couple years ago. I was really proud of completing my NASM training certification. And I booked Cover Girl in November of last year, that was definitely a proud moment and a dream come true.
4) What’s your weekly exercise routine?
I am an instructor at a sports performance boutique studio in Union Square called Tone House. The workouts are designed to have you training like an athlete. We work on strength, speed and agility. I train there two times a week; then on top of that I aim to get in one to two strength sessions (where I do loaded squats or dead lift), two yoga classes, and a dance class or something else fun if I have time.
5) What’s your go to “super food”
I drink green tea and each quinoa in my five-grain oatmeal almost everyday! Sweet potatoes, kale and brussels sprouts are also regulars on my weekly menu. I’m obsessed with roasted sweet potatoes! Simply the best.
6) When do you feel most sexy?
I actually feel really sexy when I work out hard. After conquering an intense workout, after some sprints or rope climbs or a boxing session, I usually feel pretty invincible and that makes me feel super confident and sexy.
7) What’s the best advice you ever received?
I am surrounded by wise, amazing people so I get great advice on a regular basis. Recently, a client/friend told me to stay open and to say “yes” to everything that comes my way and resonates with me. If it feels right and feels good, to go with it and it will lead me down the right paths. That advice really resonated with me at this moment in my life and I am passing it on to my friends and clients.
8) What inspires you daily?
My family, my friends, my clients, my colleagues … I am surrounded by people who work hard, love hard, play hard and are constantly striving for greatness. It is very inspiring to live and work amongst them.
9) What do not many people know about you? (funny hobby, collector, weirdness)
I’m obsessed with stove popped popcorn. Absolutely, love it. Could eat it everyday. And I used to have a pencil collection when I was a kid. Super strange, still not sure what it was about pencils, but I had hundreds of them in all shades and colors and designs!
10) What’s your definition of “confidence”?
To me confidence means, you aren’t afraid to make mistakes, you accept and love yourself for both your strengths and weaknesses, you believe in your abilities and your dreams wholeheartedly, and your own approval is more important than anyone else’s.
