At Whole Foods they sell dried bananas in the bulk section. They are thin, brown, and shriveled; not very appealing. Yes I admit, I judged the banana by it’s look and size! 😉 But… I figured to try them anyway, and I’m glad I did. They’ve become my new go-to snack! Instead of a cookie I eat a dried banana with my afternoon cup of tea. I’m a fan, it really satisfies my sweet craving.
Snacking on dried fruit is some of the healthiest alternatives to sugary snacks. They’re filling and nutritious and give you an energy boost. Keep in mind that some manufacturers add sweeteners and/or preservatives to their bananas. You don’t want that; check the label!
