Are you looking for a super effective workout? Celebrity are hooked on this new approach!
Last week I was invited to try the popular L.A. based Lagree Fitness workout at the only Lagree Fitness studio in Ft. Lauderdale, Core Contour, and I have to say, it was a mind-blowing experience! Founded by fitness guru and celebrity trainer Sebastien Lagree, Lagree Fitness™ it’s the most innovative and effective approach to full body conditioning and strength training on the market.
Sophia Vergara, Brooke Burke, Kim Kardashian, Michelle Obama, the Victoria’s Secret Angels and Paul Green, are only a few names of the long list of A-list Celebrities who use Lagree Fitness as their workout routine
Even though it appears to be a lot like Pilates, it goes way beyond that!! In fact this routine is a slow, low impact, intense workout that enhances cardio endurance, boosts metabolism, elongates/tones muscles and increases flexibility. Each session incorporates a cardio element, which provides the most intense, effective, safe way to improve total body composition to get fit and stay in shape.
I had the chance to sit down with Sebastien Lagree in person who explained that “The M3 mega reformer was created as a blend between all the best weightlifting machines you can think of and some elements of Pilates. It focuses on strengthening your body and your cardiovascular system. Each move is repeated for 1 min and classes are 50min long. The sequence of each move it’s a very important part of this workout as it’s what pumps up your heart rate, and is also what allows you to engage different group muscles all at the same time, attacking them from different angles every time, forcing them to perform different actions”.
The idea behind this workout is to be efficient with your time, optimizing the intensity and times of the regular workout. In fact by engaging up to 600 muscles in just one move you can burn up to 800 calories with a 50min class! Now, that’s working out smart!
Because it’s a high intensity workout It’s important to eat beforehand. Sebastien recommends something light 1-hour prior class (ex. whole grain toast with sliced banana and/or peanut butter, oatmeal etc.).
Entrepreneur Jen Capps, owner of Core Contour turned to yoga and fitness after a challenging time in her personal life, as an outlet to release stress. After experiencing the endless benefits of the Lagree Fitness method she decided to open her own studio in her hometown Ft. Lauderdale. Located at 2358 N. Federal Highway, right in the Whole Foods plaza. This workout facility will transform you physically and mentally!
To see results within 2 weeks it’s recommended to go three time per week. For more info visit www.corecontour.com
